Features & Workflow
Trezor Suite is designed around a clear principle: the user controls their assets and the hardware wallet controls the keys. The suite exposes a familiar account view where you can review balances, transaction history, and network fees. When you create a new account, it is derived from the device's seed phrase — the suite only displays public information and unsigned transactions.
Easy Transfers
Creating and sending a transaction is a guided process. Enter the recipient address and amount in the suite UI; the unsigned transaction is passed to the Trezor device for confirmation. The device shows a human readable address and the exact amount to confirm, protecting you from malware on the host computer. After you approve on-device, the signed transaction is broadcast to the network from the suite or a partner node.
Portfolio & Tracking
The portfolio dashboard aggregates balances across supported coins and tokens and displays them in fiat or crypto units. Use the built-in tools to label addresses, add memos, and export transaction history for tax reporting or bookkeeping.
Advanced Users
Power users can access raw PSBT (Partially Signed Bitcoin Transaction) support, set custom derivation paths, and configure coin-specific settings. The suite also allows firmware updates that are cryptographically signed and verified to ensure authenticity.
Privacy Considerations
Trezor Suite respects user privacy by minimizing telemetry and offering local-only modes where price lookups and balance aggregation can be performed using user-specified APIs. Network requests are limited to necessary operations and the app gives explicit information whenever an external service is used.
Why Use a Hardware Wallet with a Suite?
Compared to custodial apps, a hardware wallet + suite combination places custody firmly with you. The Trezor device holds the keys; the suite simplifies day-to-day interactions without weakening cryptographic protections. This hybrid model offers a strong balance between security and usability.
